Henry Andrews B. Abes

The corporate career of Henry Andrews B. Abes spans 30 years in the field of technology and telecommunications, broadcast and online media, and commercial real estate.

He joined Skycable in 1991 as one of its first batch of employees as an Account Executive and eventually rose from the ranks to head its residential sales group in 1993. He left the company in 1998 with 300,000 subscribers. In 1999, he became the Vice President and COO of One Virtual Corporation which pioneered in providing two-way satellite broadband internet services mainly to private schools and ISPs throughout the country.

In 2002, he became the Vice President and Head of Customer Operations of Nextel Communications Philippines Inc (eventually Next Mobile) handling Sales and Marketing, Customer Care, and Revenue Assurance. In 2006, he became the General Manager of PLDT Subic Telecom where he managed nearly 20,000 residential subscribers and 2,000 corporate clients. In 2009, he set up and headed the Corporate Sales Department of Wi-Tribe Telecoms Inc (formerly Liberty Broadcasting Network Inc.) where he launched its Broadband Fixed Wireless Access services for enterprise clients via Wi-Tribe’s 4G Wimax infrastructure.

In 2012, he joined DTSI Group (now NTT Ltd. Philippines) as its Vice President for Sales and Business Unit Head. He managed and expanded its core market of Business Process Outsourcing and Global In-House Center companies which contributed almost 65% of the company’s annual revenues. Concurrent with his position as NOW Cable, Inc.’s President, he is also the incumbent President and CEO of NOW Corporation, a firm listed in the Philippine Stock Exchange engaged in the business of telecommunication, media and technology.

Mr. Abes obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree Major in Political Science at the Ateneo de Manila University. He also took up three (3) years of law subjects from San Beda College of Law and Executive Courses in Strategic Leadership from Harvard Business Publishing, Sales Management from University of Michigan Business School, and Strategic Marketing and Total Quality Management from the Asian Institute of Management.
